10 ways to celebrate Rio at Sydney Olympic Park

The 2016 Rio Olympic Games will officially commence tomorrow, Saturday 6 August, and we are gearing up to celebrate at the Park.

Here are our top 10 suggestions to get into the Olympic spirit at the home of the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games…

1. Olympic Cauldron relit
Witness the Olympic Cauldron in all its glory when it is relit for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, to coincide with the Bledisloe Cup and GWS Giants match, and the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games:
Saturday 6 August 12pm – 4pm
Saturday 20 August 4pm – 8pm
Thursday 8 September 12pm – 4pm

2.Big screen coverage
Watch the coverage of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on our big screen at the eastern end of the Olympic Park station 6am-5pm daily

3.Discovery Icons Walk
Re-live some of the memories of the ‘best Games ever’ and take yourself on a self guided walk

4.Lifestyle Guided Walk: Olympic Spirit Lifestyle walk in front of the Cauldron
Discover some of the Olympic sculptures, monuments & memorials at Sydney Olympic Park. Registrations are essential and the walk will commence at 12.15pm on Tuesday 9 August

5.Dive into History exhibition
Immerse yourself in the Dive into History exhibition celebrating the many great stories of the Aquatic Centre

6.ANZ Stadium Explore Tour

Follow the footsteps of Olympic heroes in the ANZ Stadium Explore Tour taking you on an exclusive behind-the-scenes journey of this Olympic stadium

Marvel at the memorable moments of over 330 athletes covering 49 different sports at the NSW Hall of Champions exhibition at the Sports Centre
