5 reasons why you must visit Concord West Playground these school holidays

Concord West Playground
1. New and improved
Concord West playground located in Bicentennial Park has just had a makeover including new soft fall surfaces, shade sails, new log seating, replacing play equipment and other upgrades.

We have invested in this much loved playground (originally opened in 1988) to ensure it continues to be enjoyed for years to come.

2. Test out the new Grid Hopper game
Part of the improvements works included new soft fall surface to the entire playground. This new soft fall surface brings with it a whole new level of fun: the Grid Hopper Game. Children will have fun hopping between coloured squares in a variety of challenges to suit different ability levels

3. New shade sails help you to be sun smart
Before we began our improvement works, we spoke to parents and carers of children using the playground to discover what they wanted to see delivered as part of the improvements. The most common response: shade!

We have listened and delivered on this request with two new shade sails at the playground.

4. Quieter than other playgrounds
Sydney Olympic Park has a number of playgrounds located throughout the suburb. Playgrounds such as Blaxland Riverside Park are hugely popular and if you don’t arrive early on a weekend, you may find it difficult to get parking. Concord West playground is generally a little less busy, providing a great playground for your children to have fun.

5. Older siblings entertained with half basketball court
If your children have older siblings who have outgrown the children’s playground, not to worry, right near Concord West playground is a half basketball court. Older siblings can practice their hoops or bring a ball to kick around in grassy areas nearby to keep active and entertained.
