Sydney CBD to Sydney Olympic Park in 10mins by train

A report commissioned by Parramatta Council and the Sydney Business Chamber’s Western Sydney branch presents a fast train link that could reduce travel time between the Sydney CBD and Parramatta to 15 minutes.

The report offers four route options, one of which is from Pitt St to Parramatta via Sydney Olympic Park – that could mean Sydney to Olympic Park in just 10 mins.

The ultimate goal would be to link the new fast track through to the new Western Sydney Airport.

Sydney Morning Herald is calling on readers to vote on the route they would like to see the fast train to take.

  1. Chris says:

Immediately cancel the Westlink roadworks in favour of the fast train connecting Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park and the CBD.

This will last for decades whereas the Westling will have a very limited life due to bottlenecks.
