New park open for business…well more like play

people working out on fitness station The fencing is down, and the new temporary park on the corner of Australia Avenue and Herb Elliott Avenue is open for business!

Yes, we have shaped this place in the heart of Sydney Olympic Park to escape and take some time out of the daily grind.

The park features a BBQ, shade umbrellas and picnic tables, which was quickly put to use today by local workers sharing in a lunchtime snag on a roll.

Also, an instant hit is the outdoor cross-fitness station, where you can improve your stamina, strength, mobility, agility, speed and balance.

The equipment features:

  • Back n Abs
  • Dip Bar
  • Battling Ropes
  • Box Small
  • Box Medium
  • Ladders
  • Pull Up
  • Cargo Net

And once you have worked out, make use of the water refill station that also has a special trough for your furry friends!

This is the latest initiative we have rolled out as part of our shaping our place strategy to support our local community in being happier, healthier and more connected.
