Weekly 5km Rhodes Parkrun begins at Sydney Olympic Park

Community gathered in Bicentennial Park getting ready to run

Want to do a free timed 5km run each week?

Well you can!

The Rhodes Parkrun kicked off this month where the local community gets together for a 5km timed run at 8am every Saturday. It’s you against the clock!

The Rhodes Parkrun is organised entirely by volunteers with the course beginning in Concord West, Bicentennial Park just off Victoria Avenue. Participants run adjacent to Homebush Bay Drive past Ikea and the Rhodes Waterside shopping centre before heading back to finish in Bicentennial Park.

The first week saw 177 runners get involved for both fun and fitness.

The fastest runner completed in a time of 17:51 with the last participant finishing in 59:50, showing that all abilities are welcome.
